The makers of PowerLung, Inc and the NextSteps Foundation bring you ALIENTO_ns^TM. ALIENTO_ns is a hand held, non-invasive machine used to strengthen ALL 12 sets of muscles for breathing. Using ALIENTO_ns may improve the ability to cough for airway clearance and gain deeper, and stronger breathing in case of SCI. The NextSteps Foundation and PowerLung designed ALIENTO_ns for simple, adaptive handling and use to improve quality of life and health.

The current ALIENTO_ns model is the first and only product designed to be used by individuals, regardless of limitations, to train the lung muscles and to help develop clear airways. ALIENTO_ns is the only machine designed to specifically train the muscles you use to inhale and exhale in the same breath. The ALIENTO_ns has three different programs that the user can choose from depending on time and progression level of the individual. It works in the same manner as specific weight training for other muscles groups. ALIENTO_ns uses advanced threshold resistance cells with independent adjustment controls, which the user sets for training. Once the program becomes comfortable and easier to complete, the user can then raise the level of resistance. The user can begin to feel the difference in just a few days and see results in just a few weeks. Individual results can vary and ALIENTO_ns is specifically designed to be used for exercise only.
