Background Information

While ALIENTO_ns is a new product, the research behind it is not new. As early as the 1920's, studies were being performed on respiratory muscle training. Beginning in the 1970's research interest into respiratory muscle training heightened. PowerLung introduced its first product in 1999 and has since brought out two more models. PowerLung and Pat Rummerfield first became acquainted with each other when Pat purchased a PowerLung for his own personal training. Pat Rummerfield, found of The NextSteps Foundation was in a car accident in the early 70's leaving him a quadriplegic. With Pat's "never give up" attitude and the help of PowerLung, he has become the world's first fully recovered quadriplegic. Pat was so amazed with the results he gained from using his PowerLung, that he felt everyone on the road to recovery should have this opportunity. Pat and PowerLung have teamed up to deliver ALIENTO_ns and its benefits to SCI sufferers.
